Ammeter Note
In a parallel circuit, you may find out that the main current is slightly less than the sum of the branch currents. The reason is: the ammeter itself has an internal resistance that reduces the current when it is connected to the circuit. Moreover, the decrease in the main current is more than the decrease in the branch currents, so you may notice that the main current is slightly less than the sum of the branch currents.
